THE WHAT
FIRM. While this girl isn’t likely to grab you by the hair and start barking orders at you, she knows how to say no and give a definite answer. She’s not one for taking your crap. Though, in the same way, she’s also not one to dish it out, either. Balanced may be a better word for it, but this girl usually has her head screwed on right. Naomi, being a personal assistant, has learned when to take orders and when she needs to stand up for herself. Making seven hundred copies and stapling them all together by hand? Reasonable. Buying the boss a new car? Not reasonable. But, then again, it all depends on what mood you catch her in. On more practical issues, she seems to have pretty straightforward answers. It isn’t until you get into some... interesting stuff that she may have comebacks that you wouldn’t expect. She’s more likely to let you handcuff her to a desk than she is to buy you coffee.
ORGANIZED. Though she hasn’t yet reached that ‘compulsion’ level yet, Naomi does like a clean work space. “Every place has a thing and everything is in its place” are words to live by in Naomi’s book. Since she was young, she’s had a passion for keeping everything where it goes. All her books are alphabetized, her cupboards are organized and her tables are free of clutter. If there’s one thing that she can’t stand, more than anything else, it’s an obscene amount of clutter. Most seem to think that her behavior is due to the fact that her mother was a pack rat, though Naomi has different reasoning behind it. Not only does she then know where everything is and can be more efficient, she feels that it gives her some sort of control. When she’s in charge of something, it’s done to the best of her ability, which gives her the feeling of satisfaction and control. Even if she’s only influencing herself and the items on her desk, she’s in control of something, and that’s good enough for her. At least, that’s what she says.
MASOCHISTIC. Most people have heard of S&M in one form or another. Whether it be the true loyalists or the couple that finds it kinky, it’s everywhere. Naomi is one of those ‘in-the-middle’ types. She may not be the full-on leather suit and whips type, but she certainly enjoys the pleasure and feelings that pain brings her. Handcuffs, bonds, gags; you name it, and she’s probably tried it. Over the years, she’s found what she likes and doesn’t, but she’s not opposed to trying new things. Love, as of late, has become something unobtainable for her, so she’ll settle for some sort of sexual relationships with men that will eventually mean nothing to her. In her book, however, it’s simply a different form of masochism to submerge oneself into relationships like that. The main thing that turns her on to S&M, however, is the control. It’s the fact that, even though she’s the one receiving the ‘punishments’ and pain, she’s in charge. It’s a mutual agreement between the two and they both know that, if she says to stop, they stop. Control is a big thing in Naomi’s mind, and she’s uncomfortable in a position where all of the control and order is stripped away from her. The masochism and BDSM have offered her a place to both have charge and satisfy herself with some sort of painful fantasies, as strange as it may sound.

THE WHY
BEST MEMORY. “Happy birthday, baby!”
Everyone was happy and smiling, all eyes directed towards the ten year old as she blew out the candles in the cake. Her red hair bounced over her shoulders as her eyes looked from her mother to her father. This was her life; not much had changed over the last eleven years, and at the moment, she didn’t think anything was going to change for the years to come. Today, however. Today was a great day. Today, she was turning ten. Double-digits. Only three years until she’d be a ‘teen’. Six until she could drive. Eleven until she could officially be official. Though, none of those thoughts where running through her head. Simply the joy that she felt from having her family and friends around her to enjoy the birthday celebration. That, and to enjoy the chocolate cake that had been ordered special for her.
WORST MEMORY. Naomi had never really met someone that called themselves a homosexual. In fact, she didn’t really know what they were until she was late into her teens. So, at eighteen, hanging out with one of her friends at the store, she had quite the run in with a woman. Had Naomi been thinking, she would’ve cried rape, but it was hard to think when someone grabbed your butt from behind. It was even harder to think when it turns out that it was a woman who did it. And, too add even more difficulty, it makes it hard when you find out that, not only did a woman just grab your butt, that woman was a teacher that you had two years before. A few choice words later, and somehow her former teacher viewed the tirade as an invitation to kiss Naomi.
Needless to say, Naomi has not been a fan of homosexuals since that night.
Of the so many billion people in the world, the chances of something bad happening to you are probably pretty slim. Something truly bad, that is; not just a grandmother dying or a cat running away. A life altering event is hard to come by, and Naomi would agree to that. If you ask her, the most life-altering thing she’s experienced is a move from Australia. Because, like countless other human beings, Naomi’s life has not been anything other than ordinary. She was born in Perth, Australia and lived there with her parents until she was nineteen. Raised as a single child had it’s drawbacks, though for the most part, Naomi enjoyed it immensely. The thought of having siblings always seemed a bit uncomfortable to her, so she was fine being on her own and having her parent’s attention all to herself (and, of course, their jobs). She finished high school near the top end of her class, managing a 3.8 GPA. And, like some, she went on to college. Getting a basic degree in business seemed easy enough for her, and she received an associate’s degree two years later.
At twenty years of age, Naomi packed up and headed to England, having some family that lived up that way. A change of scenery seemed like what she needed to break from the same old routine everyday and looking for a job seemed easier if she was somewhere where people didn’t know her. She ended up in London, living with an aunt and her cousin. From there, she decided looking for a job was her best bet. Becoming a personal assistant is not something that one normally aspires to be. In fact, it’s not something that usually crosses ones mind. But for Naomi, it seemed like the perfect place. Meticulous in her organization and willing to take orders without being a total pushover, she was ready for whatever a boss would throw at her.
At least, she assumed she was ready. Then she met Maxwell Heaton. She was convinced that the man was, without a doubt, the devil reincarnate. She was hired a few weeks after her move and she was pretty much sure that the job was going to kill her. That, or she’d end up killing herself after working with the young Mr. Heaton. Though, after a few months of adjusting and several ‘bouts of arguing, she managed to get herself to a mutual understanding with the man. Now, nearly two years later as they’ve just come to Lampton, Naomi is more confident in her job and gets along with Heaton better... if only slightly.
