THE WHO
LAID BACK. CONFIDENT. MUSICAL. NAME. Winona Imogen Matthews AGE. Twenty one BIRTHDAY. May Twenty third OCCUPATION. Barista at The Book Cafe BIRTH PLACE. Lampton Hill NATIONALITY. English ORIENTATION. Homosexual PREMADE TITLE. N/A PLAYBY. Tegan Quin
THE WHAT LAID BACK. From birth, Winona has always been the calm and quiet kid who would just be chilling in the back of the room, totally fine with whatever was going on. She never fussed much compared to your typical child or teenager and just seemed to go along with things easily, not minding if things didn't go her way as long as they were going deciding that she can't really or always change the direction of life so she might as well enjoy it as it went. Preferring relaxing to the constant worrying and fussing that most people seem to do. This trait also causes Winona to be slightly indecisive with things happy to just go along with the flow then actually decide herself what to do with her life or even what movie to rent with friends. It also can make her seem apathetic at times about life in general as she's happy to take what comes her way and doesn't see the point in getting up and changing it, which makes many of her friends happily place the good old label of lazy right on her.
CONFIDENT. From a young age Winona had figured exactly who she was and with an encouraging pair of parents who always seemed to support her in the stupid small things, her self esteem and confidence grew. While Winona isn't a cocky or over confident at all, she knows exactly who she is and is proud to say it, not caring if people don't like it it is who she is. She doesn't believe in holding back to doing something just because of what people might say or do but to embrace life and go for things and if it doesn't work out then it wasn't meant to. Also as years went by and Winona discovered her preferences sexually her confidence truly grew as in a small town world liking the same sex isn't always encouraged and with much comments instead of shrinking away she took pride in how she was different and the negative only made her confidence grow stronger. But like most people who seem to have confidence it can sometimes deter people away when it gets to there heads, Winona occasionally letting her head balloon a bit with her confidence which makes her seem arrogant and cocky, which she doesn't usually mean and only really happens when she truly wants to impress.
MUSICAL. Winona Matthews grew up around music and from conception it was part of her life, her father an aspiring musician at the time would play his guitar and sing songs to his then unborn daughter and since then it didn't seem to stop. Music always being played or talked about, listened to through out the years. When Winona turned ten her father decided that his daughter should learn to play some instrument as well, as she was showing interest at the time. Like most young people it was the guitar she picked up and like most fell in love with, of course she knew it would go no where, but playing and writing songs had become a passion after that, something that Winona still won't let go. Her passion for music is so strongly ingraved into her life she has becoming a bit closed minded to other things in life and rathering just keep to her lovely music then go out and try anything else to occupy her free time.
LIKES. guitar, cats, thrift stores, corn chips, old films, the smell of rain, looking at photography, soy milk, late night walks, pot DISLIKES. ignorance, old fashioned people, cheesy romance movies, the smell of burnt popcorn, being alone, corporations, homophobia, road kill, liars, Mexican food
THE WHY BEST MEMORY. Like most teenagers who despised there high school career, the best memory of Winona's life would have to be graduation day. Not only was it signaling the end of what felt like an eternity trapped in a hell hole as she saw it, but it was the day she also had her first lesbian experience. The day Winona had sex with a girl for the first time, let alone had sex for the first time. Winona of course had experienced a bit before hand, mainly just a few kisses and snogging sessions here and there, but nothing as serious as what happened that night. It was awkward and she was kinda drunk, but it was still the moment that concreted her idea that she was indeed gay. It marked freedom and understanding the beginning of her new, lesbian life. WORST MEMORY. Sadly, Winona's worst memory soon followed after her best - shortly after graduation when most of her friends were awaiting anxiously letters from university and colleges, something that Winona had decided to wait off a year or two...or three. But with a new naivety she decided and assumed that something would come out of her one night stand which to her was so much more. She remember calling and leaving messages, writing on myspace and sending e-mails only to later get an angry meeting at her work on how she needed to leave her the fuck alone. None the less, Winona who believed something was there was hurt and heartbroken realizing what she saw as her first possible real relationship was never really anything at all.
Winona came screaming into the world May 23 to her parents, Marie and Peter Matthews in the tiny town of Lampton Hill, England, her parents married young shortly after graduating which at the time was normal especially with them as in love as they were. The idea of them having children wasn't planned at all, but when it happened they couldn't be happier, Winona was loved and doted on since day one, since conception. Her parents always talking to the baby bump that held little Winona inside, her dad even playing music to her which of course she doesn't really remember but due to constant talks about it, she knew it happened.
Winona grew up happy always having attention and being close to her parents, the kind of close that means actually talking about feelings and what was going on in life without being embarrassed about what was being shared or anything the home always being open and warm. Which made coming out an easy thing to do for Winona, having not really been exposed to what can happen when you do come out and being confident that her parents would support her and like assumed they did, of course her mother seemed a bit upset at the lack of a normal wedding and ending story for her daughter but at least she was happy.
Life moved on and so did school, Winona who was never one for school at all, besides the entire meeting people and her friends being there aspect she despised every bit of it, and the best day of her life had to be graduation and the knowledge that she'd never have to go back. Her despise for school continued letting her come to the decision that she'd take a year or two off school, which turned out to last even longer. Now Winona doubting if it will happen as being able to support herself now and with a steady job, what's the point of even going when she's as happy as she is.
THE HOW
RP SAMPLE. Scout rolled over in her single sized bed, her eyes slowly fluttering open. She squinted to see through the harsh sunlight billowing in from the uncurtained window. "Ugh," she moaned quietly, sitting up her bed. The alarm clock to her left read twelve twenty - one pm; geez, what time did she get in last night to be sleeping this late? She thought back to the night before, resting her head and back against the wall behind her. It must have been at least one when she got back to her dorm this morning. She'd been hanging out with some friends last night, playing music, smoking and just chilling. Time seemed to disappear when she was with her friend, she never kept up with the time. Oh, well, at least she didn't have to get up for classes today. It was Saturday!
Suddenly a strange sound interrupted her thoughts. Scout's stomach rumbled, demanding to be fed. She placed her hand on her torso. Her body was in need of some refueling, so she could delay getting out of bed any longer. She stumbled off her bed, her feet wanting to give way from under her after going hours without use. Her body was still so tired from the previous day. No matter, she made her way over to her small closet and pulled out an outfit for the day. She didn't feel like dressing up today, so she kept it simple in a black and white striped v neck and dark blue denim skinny jeans. along with solid black slip on shoes. She checked her hair in the mirror beside the door, combing down some of the short locks that were out of place with her fingers. Scout didn't care much about her looks. She didn't bother with expensive, name brand clothes, or makeup, or useless hair products. Her wardrobe was built up of mainly treasures she found in various thrift shops and as far as hair and makeup go, she doesn't wear any make up or do anything but brush and straighten her dark hair.
Scout grabbed her keys off her nightstand, along with her cell phone and money. She shoved the money in her back pocket as she walked out the door, pulling it closed behind her. She stepped outside of the dorms building, shielding her eyes with her hands. "Jesus, it's bright out," she mumbled, finding her way to the student parking lot. Once her car was located, she wasted no time getting in and firing the engine up. She looked behind her as she pulled out of the parking space and then around the rest of the lot. It was pretty abandoned, then again, on most weekends it was. Scout sped out of the lot, and on the road that would take her out into town. Some nice, greasy, fattening food would really hit the spot right about now.
Scout cranked the volume on her stereo, the music of Minus The Bear beginning to play through the speakers. Next, she opened the middle console, pulling out a cigarette and lighter from it, all while driving with the other hand. She was a good driver, but she was always doing something else along with driving, like changing the music, lighting cigarettes, or texting. It was a terrible habit, but hey, she wasn't dead yet.
Soon traffic started to pick up and she was passing more and more establishments. At the first red light that stopped her, she looked at her surroundings. Where did she want to eat? There was a KFC, Taco Bell, Chinese place... lots of choices, but nothing appealed to her. Then she saw it! On the corner was a McDonald's. She nodded as her stomach gave another protesting rumble. She turned as the light turned green, she made a beeline for McDonald's and parked. Sure, she could have been like any other normal human being and go through the drive through, but it was packed, plus she didn't get out of her pajamas for nothing.
Once inside, Scout discovered that she didn't have a long wait in line to order. Geez, does anyone ever come inside restaurants anymore? She stepped to the register and recited her order to a rather bored looking heavy middle aged woman. "I'll have two double cheeseburgers, a large fry, and large Coke." She ended her order with a nod and fished out her ten dollar bill from her pocket. She tried to smile at the lady as she received her change, but she remained unaffected. Why do I even try being friendly? Scout thought to herself, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. She received her order almost instantly, then took it out to the play area. She sat at a table near the exit, pulling her food out from the bag hurriedly. For such a small girl, Scout could put away some food. Then again, she hung out with mostly guys, so she had no shame in her appetite. She unwrapped her first cheeseburger and wasted no time eating it. She didn't even take the time to notice she was alone, not that it really bothered her. She didn't mind a little Scout Time, but company was important too. After all, she was never without her friends usually.

Your personality paragraphs don’t really discuss any negative aspects, which is a must for a well rounded character Just a note, in England High school starts a lot earlier then in America. Please look at the thread in town register labelled “school system” for more details. I’m a tad confused, was her first lesbian experience the sex, or had she kissed or done things with girls before? You need to write all numbers out in letters Was the sex after graduation her first time in general, or just with a woman? Because you haven’t really mentioned otherwise and I’m just wondering. If it was her first time in general, why not mention that? It seems... Strange, I don’t know... Your sample is a bit hard to understand and seems to have some grammar and flow issues, do you have another?

I've re-read your application and everything seems fitting, except for this time your sample doesn't fit our minimum word requirement. I know that nine words seems tedious, but if I could just see a sample that is that or more, you're golden. (Or add nine words onto this one. ---coughack-)
